About the Author

A widely published poet, literary translator, essayist and academic, Maria Luisa Spaziani is one of Italy’s most distinguished writers. Guernica Editions published a collection of her poems, Star of Free Will, in 1996. Gino Ruozzi is an Associate Professor of Italian at the University of Bologna and a leading scholar in the genre of aphoristic writing. Marco Sonzogni is Senior Lecturer in Italian at Victoria University of Wellington. A retired chartered accountant, Bob Lowe is a graduate of Oxford University and Victoria University of Wellington.
