Works | Progress : Three writers read from their (as yet) unpublished work.

Steve Woodward is an associate editor at Graywolf Press. He teaches in the low-residency MFA program at Sierra Nevada College, and is founder and co-conspirator of the online magazine Menagerie. He has an MFA from the University of Michigan, where he received Hopwood Awards in both fiction and nonfiction. His novel in progress follows a group of people entangled in the exotic animal trade in south Florida.

Robert Martin is the executive assistant for the Midwest Independent Booksellers Association and a contributing editor to Rain Taxi Review of Books in Minneapolis. He has been working on his novel Boxcar since 2010. Excerpts from the book have appeared recently in Revolver (www.around-around.com) and Great Lakes Review.

Caitlin Bailey holds an M.F.A. from Hamline University where she served as an Assistant Poetry Editor for Water~Stone Review. Her poems have appeared in Hayden's Ferry Review, Bateau, Carolina Quarterly, Paper Darts, and elsewhere. She is currently working on a collection of poetry. Solve for Desire, her manuscript in progress, began as an M.F.A. thesis project. The poems in this collection, through a series of imagined letters between the Austrian poet Georg Trakl and his sister, Grete, as well as more abstract meditations, attempt to examine the ways in which grief and desire coexist.
