Our bookshelves say a lot about us--what we like, what we value, what we keep. As Acquisitions Librarian for the Minnesota Historical Society, Patrick Coleman has played a central role in preserving Minnesota’s cultural heritage. He’ll visit Common Good Books to talk about the states’ most important books. The public is welcome for this fascinating evening. Talk about your favorite books with your fellow book lovers, as we celebrate our shared literary legacy.

Patrick Coleman is the Acquisitions Librarian for the Minnesota Historical Society since 1979. In the course of his work, he has added approximately 100,000 titles to the MHS library, making it the center of scholarship on all Minnesota topics. He is especially proud of the library's growth in the previously neglected area of Minnesota fiction and poetry.
