The Musicians of The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra (SPCO) will present a free concert for the public on in the Leonard Center Gymnasium on the Saint Paul campus of Macalester College (125 S Snelling Ave.). Garrison Keillor will guest host the event. Concertmaster Steven Copes said, “The musicians in the SPCO adore their enthusiastic audiences in the Twin Cities, and this is a fun and celebratory way to really give something back to the community that supports what we do, and in an unexpected venue as well.” The program, which will be led by the musicians, includes the Overture to Rossini’s The Italian Girl in Algiers, Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Violin & Viola in Eb, and Beethoven’s Symphony #1 in C.

The doors open at 6:30pm. A special reception for all patrons in attendance will follow the concert.
